I Ran JBL GTO 629s in mine. Sounded great without adding anything extra, or removing any amps. I since removed them when I parted mine out. I've listed them on eBay, with the mounting rings. I had the issue in my jeep it wasn't showing it either after I enabled the transmission in my scanner as being something like 4wd unit. Told you all the wiring is there. As long as the rear view is hooked up OEM style to the rear pillar harness it will dim properly too- CRD-Joe

Quiet AT tires
I ran Kelly AT on mine and they were really quiet. Actually impressed me how balanced of a tire too. 3 of 4 of my tires required no weights for balancing, the 4th one only took a half ounce. They have long service mileage too.- CRD-Joe

Nope they are fun little toys. Lol. I think I would go with the 06 though if I were to build any. Electronics changed. No more fcm junk. Copart is a great place to get em cheap to part or build. Unfortunately I sold pretty much all of it off already. I have the door cards and a couple little parts. Amazing how fast they all sold. I'm looking to find another one to part out. That guys got a great deal on that. That Evic was specific to the '05, as others didn't work properly. I would get a blank temp on other units. Plus this one allowed me to do settings for door lock/unlock, tpms, and other functions that are usually done thru either obd or a bunch of flipping...- CRD-Joe

That first picture is a good shot of the 2 larger connectors that go in the pillar. It's hard to tell if it has the evic an mirror connection though.- CRD-Joe

I unfortunately just sold my extra harness off. I would look on eBay or alike for a harness from a limited with or with sunroof, doesn't matter. This way you'll get everything factory. If you pull the plastic off the rear pillar on the driver side the plug is right there. If I remember correctly...- CRD-Joe
