Heated Side Mirrors Upgrade
They are plug and play. Also if you want to add a dimming rear view mirror that will control the auto dim side mirror as well. I did my 05's with no issues. As stated the rear defrost button activates the heated mirrors.- CRD-Joe

I'd have to agree I haven't seen that setup either. So you don't have a spin on oil filter looking setup on the firewall? I would suggest turning the key 2 clicks to on position without starting it to listen for a hum in the tank. As if you don't have a way to prime/bleed the system it must have...- CRD-Joe

Should be a pump on the fuel filter mount that you replaced your filter. I used to use my brake bleeder on the bleeder instead of pumping it. I ended up installing a lift pump an you never need to worry about that again, just cycle the key. My advice is get a lift pump installed. Auto primes...- CRD-Joe

I was using the Rotella T6 0W-40. Excellent soot control. K100 Diesel additive worked great for me as well. Another big thing is that timing belt NEEDs to be done at 100k intervals or before. There is part of the harness that runs down the firewall that's really close to the egr system. That wire harness sometimes gets melted or pinched. I would check it thoroughly first. I feel like you have a wiring issue now. If you had low or no oil pressure it would be making a nasty knocking noise. Others can chirp in but it sounds like you either broke your 5v sensor/reference wire, or unplugged a harness by accident somewhere. Definitely dirty, I've seen worse to the point there's hard carbon gunked outside that cage. Look up- git it garage on YouTube. He does a lot of crd stuff on there. In fact he has a map sensor he'll show you that's as gunked up as I just said.- CRD-Joe

Also you can get more performance if you unplug the maf on the air filter. This turns off the egr system which is a huge pain for these motors. What you have now are blanks in there. When you pop off the airbag you'll see each side where the switch goes is a cover held by a small screw. The new switch takes place of the blanks that are there now. Search ebay for the switches, that's the cheapest route to go.- CRD-Joe

Just read 2002-06 was still cable driven in the 3.7L. So if you have a gasser you'll need the actuator for those years. If it's the CRD then it's drive by wire. That's what I was assuming fjt226 was talking about having. Even still with the gassers it's still an easy upgrade. Switches...- CRD-Joe
