    Misc. cooling system parts?

If you order the mopar thermostat, one it is already on it. I wasn't sure and ordered the fel pro one from rockauto when i did mine. Anyway, had an extra. I reused my hose clamps. Also tossed the spring inside the lower rad hose when i did the replacements. Used gates also rock auto.

Starting to think about new tars

Duratracs 265 70 16 - 42 lbs 265 65 17 - 42 lbs LT 245 75 16 C - 40 lbs LT 245 70 17 E - 50 lbs I think your going to be in the same ball park with 265 vs 245 in terms of regear. In otherwords you'll be in 3rd just as often as 245. Some minor work with the heat gun maybe but your already...

    Parts

rock auto is way cheaper for me in Canada. I can get Mopar with cheap shipping, or the same gates or moog that I would have bought at napa for twice the money. That said, i still stop at napa everytime i'm in North Dakota for stuff. This time will be brakes for front.

3rd cv axle in a couple months

put intermediate shaft in vice with rag around it since smooth is better. hit CV with deadblow near joint. Since your bringing it back for a core deposit with the reman, get aggressive if you need to with a larger hammer if it doesn't work. Put antiseize or fill with grease on next one.

    Moabs and rubbing?

moabs are offset of 12 or 13 vs the 42 ish of stock. 3 cm might be about right. Obviously doesn't account for rim width but it will put the center of the rim in the right spot. or a tad less than 1.25 inches in american. My mambas were At 22 inches i had to heat gun it and do pinch...

    Power steering pressure hose bracket?

Power steering pump was a bit loud from years of busting hoses as it was still original and i literally busted one every year or atleast 5of 7 before i did the replacement. get some duratracs you'll never hear the powersteering unless at low range speed. Unless you get the length exactly wrong...

    Timken wheel bearing

only negative about the timken i bought was it rusted a bit quick. If i did it again i'd toss some paint on it. looked worse than the one I took off in a year where oem was there for 8. If you don't need the abs and your sensor has it clip off the wire and leave sensor in place so crud...

    Power steering pressure hose bracket?

if you only put in one of the two bolts its easy to get to on my 07 once you pop the grill off. Last replacement was custom hose from a local shop and zipped the ends off the busted hose and used compression fittings, did not have a metal U in the middle just hose. Tried to make the bracket...

crashed my 2007 KJ - should I get another KJ or KK?

What lift did you put on your 2007 KJ? Is it worth porting over or was part of totaling the KJ involve suspension damage. the new renegade is nice but i'd drive one before committing and much less options to modify. If you've got a tire size in mind that your hoping to get to, you'll have...

    New Struts

if your going to buy monroes buy the better brand, the reflex or spectrum. The monromatic ones are garbage. Personally if you want stock, i'd buy ome 925's and some bilsteins and 947's for the rear and call it done. It will be ~1 inch taller... Than you should have been when new and ride a...

What did you do to your jeep today?

When towing my boat it was always 3rd gear od off. Just couldn't find 4th ever with 3.73 and a load. The good news is that i never lost speed up a grade as that engine loves to spin at 2200 - 2800 rpms.

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

as asked above, did you cut out the pockets for the A arms? if you didn't, don't. Too much droop. Running stock swaybar links? IE if your disconnecting them It might be too much. Also is it a napa Reman shaft or a new one. The "new" are too short. as for traction control light, have you...

Headed to the U-Pull yard, anything I shouldn't leave without?

Hammer on a 1/2 drive socket tight on the security lug and pound the lug out with the 3/8 drive after its off the wheel. Wouldn't want to do 20 of them but 5 would be ok. how bad you want it.

Headed to the U-Pull yard, anything I shouldn't leave without?

your probably right on the clevis, was thinking bout my 07 where the clevis has a smaller bolt and the rear wouldn't work.

    Detroit Truetrac

well, you will have to set up gears, so its just the cost of the carrier adding to the problem( ie dollars). I love that thing but unless your doing 4.56, 4.88's They can keep it for 1500 bucks. Built with setup, 4.56 and a DTT gets pricey~3K ish for what it is/isn't. I've never had trouble...

Headed to the U-Pull yard, anything I shouldn't leave without?

4.10 gear front diff (dana30A) from a 4 cyl (if you can find one)and some KK clevis forks just in case you do what everybody else does when you start lifting it.

    Detroit Truetrac

having a lsd that works is great. DTT at top of list. no clutches, no additive, nothing to wear out. As noted, best choice for our front diffs to preserve its fragile-ish nature. Since you have to replace the carrier, you'll be removing the existing ring gear off the stock carrier to remount...

What did you do to your jeep today?

its 30 for sure. really popular on the rams as the rear springs aren't stiff for a truck. That and everybody levels the front and throws a 1 inch spacer in the rear and use the bags to push it back up after it sags.
