I have an 06 Liberty Renegade that has a plastic cover over the rocker panels and I'm not aware of the actual condition of mine... Jeep used plastic rivets to attach it so this summer I guess I'll have to do some removal work...
The inner metal is called an...

Were all the Jeep Libertys sold in NY state "California" cars? ... If so you may be able to find a used pipe at a local yard... The odds are probably not good though as you live in the salt belt and NY cars usually don't last over 10 years...

I agree with the comment "
Great. While waiting for it, you can figure out how to get it out!
have fun. it's a little tricky but do-able." from uss2defiant...
Mine was not at all easy to get out... They show all you have to do is to angle the back of the drive shaft up and pull the front...
As uss2defiant said there is no expansion valve.
That function is handled by a "fixed orifice device" located within the aluminum low side line... Both devices are used within the automotive industry... In a R134a system the system requires that a vacuum be pulled... If you don't evacuate the...
Sounds like my 2006 Jeep Liberty... I bought it "salvage" the last owner replaced the left rear brake line and didn't correctly run the line... It also got caught on the front drive shaft and wrapped around it... pulling the ABS module sideways and it very close to the drivers side valve...
Two years on the Liberty with no signs of problems and 1 year on the Chrysler...I remember when we had cars with R12 Freon and they said that running R134a would damage the AC system... Now it is common place to "retrofit" R12 systems with R134a... The Chrysler 200 I rebuilt on a budget had the...
As long as the "green" coolant was put in the engine after a complete flush it should work OK...
It will protect the different metal parts... If green is ADDED to HOAT coolant then you can have problems... My 06 Liberty and my 2016 Chrysler 200 are running on green coolant with no problems...
With the exception of "Dorman" parts I agree with what you posted... It seams at times that they may be the only answer though... I've seen too many failures with this parts supplier...

If the blend door actuator just runs and runs in either direction then the internal plastic gears are stripped and the actuator can't physically move the blend doors... As for "doorman" parts... stay as far away from them as you can... It is not worth doing all the work of tearing the dash apart...
The sweet smell of antifreeze is coming from the heater core and this job is not for the week of heart driveway mechanic... It requires tearing the dash apart to get to the heater core... If you do decide to tackle this job take pictures as you go and as you tear down the dash put the...
Glad to see you bought a set of gauges ,,, Now search the web for some videos on repairing your car's AC system... I see you have a low pressure switch on the accumulator ...Too low refrigerant will cause the On/Off problem you are having... Also many newer cars have a high pressure switch that...
Try some heat from a torch to loosen the rust...
I spent about $60 for a Oxi/Map gas torch at Menards to persuade rusted/frozen nuts and bolts and love the things it allows me to achieve...I had rusted nuts on my daughters 2008 Hyundai Sonata exhaust that by any other means would have not come...
My 06 Liberty Renegade does not have the roof lights, It did have the bumper mounted 7" fogs, (they were old and ugly) and I changed them to a set of fogs from harbor freight (($27 set) that required some mounting brainstorming... My 3.7 has 128k and it does like to drink "petrol"... I get 15mpg...
When I put my 06 Liberty back together it had a bad radiator and water pump... Because there was nothing but water in the system when I got it I put in standard "green" antifreeze in it... I have driven the Jeep for 2 years without any problems with the cooling system... I believe that the HOAT...
Bought my 06 Liberty Renegade at a salvage car auction two years ago as it had a fire under the transmission hump (long story)... It had both passenger side doors and trunk swing door rusted through along with the vacuum doors for the HVAC bad... The BEST place I found for parts was my local...
Seams like you have a "logical" mind (CPU Freak) and if you buy a bunch of quart plastic bags and some magic markers ...mark the bags numerically as you tear down the engine and take lots of pictures you should be OK... By marking the bags progressively you will find by counting down to one that...
I added LED Headlight "bulbs to my 2016 200s and they worked fine through the summer months... When it got cold the information display would show "headlight out" and THEN would turn the LED lights off... After the car warmed up under the hood they would stay on...
I had replaced the fog lights...
I just posted a reply to a Jeep CRD owner in Scotland with won't start when hot...
Check your temperature gauge when hot to see if it reads about 1/2 way (+or-) a little...
You may have a bad temperature sensor telling the ECM the and giving the engine air/fuel mixture...
Seen this in other...
Scalloping can be caused by bad/loose wheel bearings, tie rod ends, and/or bad shocks/struts... The wheel/tire is wobbling from something...It might also be caused by changing alignment parts (lifting) causing the wheel to bounce...
