I know this has been posted and I have looked at a lot of he reviews, but need more help.

Power steering high pressure hose leaking at the hose to pump fitting.
Hose and rack were replaced about 1-1/2 years ago.

The leak is coming from between the tube and the end fitting of the hose.
And it is not just a drip, but healthy stream.

Took hose off and o-ring seemed to be broken.

Tried replacing with o-ring that I had which was a bit thicker, tried ones close to the OEM size, and then tried Mopar OEM rings as well.

And then tighten fitting until it can't anymore - same amount of leaking.

So fluid is not coming from threads on the pump side fitting and still leaks between the hose/tube and the hose fitting itself which has to be the sealing surface - ie the o-ring.

Or am I missing something? Possible the pump fitting is the cause somehow (cracked) that I can't see so the o-ring can't generate a good seal?

Seems the hose itself is fine but is there anything to look for?
Or thinking about just replacing the pump at this point with a reman one or pick-n-pull part - thoughts?

Thanks

Old o-ring or something stuck up in the fitting on the pump? Or a burr on the fitting - inside the pump that cuts the new o-ring when you tighten it up?
