Hi, I had the Throttle Position Sensor replaced on out 2002 KJ Sport. The Socket at the end of the engine wire harness broke. So now they want me to replace the whole harness.

Is there another socket that can be used in it's place? sad2.gif

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You should only have to replace the socket, it will take them some work swapping the wires over.

Replace the whole harness.
Unless you want to spend the time soldering each and every wire and making sure there is no remaining flux on the wires and waterproofing the connections before applying shrink tubing.
Easier installing a complete wiring harness!

I don't believe that the wires are damaged when removing them from the socket, these are the types of connectors (deutsch or similar connectors) that have male and female sockets, there is a tool made to release either the male or female pins to easily transfer them to a new socket. Hence no cutting, no flux, no heat shrink. And the connectors are made to be water resistant anyway. See the attached pic for an example.
