Hi all
I am new.to the group. I just bought my daughter and 05 liberty for her 1st car. The drivers side tail light doesn't work on daytime running but it does when you turn on the headlights. Kind of confused.

I'd like to know too. Try this. Switch the bulb from the passenger side and see if it does the same thing. Then get back to us

It could be your multifunction switch. Have you tried changing that?

Not yet I have only had the jeep for about 3 hours. Lol
I have read some things on bad DRL relays.

The bulbs work when the headlights are turned on. They are only out when the daytime running lights are on

DRL should only light the head lights. No tail or marker lights.
My 2 Jeeps are this way.I assume the relays are the same n&s of the border.
Had ds low beam blow yesterday,DRL must run off the high beam at reduced voltage?
I had 2 DRL w/lights off and 2 high beams and 1 low beam w/lights on.

I believe OP is referring to parking lights...not DRLs

So I looked at this a little more and realized that with the headlights off only the right marker and tail light are on. So if this jeep has Drl they are definitely not working correctly. I may buy a relay and start with that.

DRLs require specific programming of the computer since only export models were like that. So whatever problem you're having has nothing to do with "DRLs"

Are you referring to the fog lights in the grille?
