2003 liberty bumper build

New to the site so I figured that I would show everyone what I am working on . Removed factory bumper skin and built a bracket for the new bumper to mount to and to reinforce the front of the jeep . The new bumper skin is built out of 1/8 plate braced and strengthened from behind.

Its getting a little closer to finshed with the bull bar and the tow points welded on and the led blinkers cut in and test mounted . Heres a look at the mounting brackets and reinforcement I put on to mount the bumper too


2003 liberty sport 3.7litre 5 speed
2.5 daystar lift , trush 2 exhaust , stage 2 clutch

With that bumper hanging up there now it'll soon be time for a real lift.
How come you welded your mounting brackets to the sub frame ? Even ARB just bolts through with their cross member / mounting bracket and is super strong.

I like to over build stuff and I never plan on returning it to a stock bumper so I figured weld it and make it strong

All the welding and grinding finshed and couple coats of primer . Tomorrow ill spray it with bed liner and do the wiring ill put a updated pic of it finshed and mount on my jeep

How thick are the shackle tabs, really look thin

It doesnt look like it would hold up to a recovery or hit to it but other than that it is quite pretty
