Hi, I've found the website of a breakers yard about 120 km away from me, but they are very VERY spendy. However, they differentiate between a 'Cherokee KJ' (2001 - 2004) and a 'Cherokee KJ/FL' (2004 - 200?7?)

Am I right in thinking that the KJ/FL was a mid-life facelift? A quick scoot on DDG images gives me the idea that the later ones had a chrome grille with two smallish spotlights inset.

My headlights are in quite-good condition, but I'd like to supplement them somehow. This later grille seems to have potential, if I can find one in VGC.

Well, having looked into the possibility of fitting a later grille, it would seem that an entire front-end rebuild would be needed. I think I'll step quietly backwards from this one....

There are two dummy grilles set into the bottom of the front bumper, and I have seen pictures of KJs with lights fitted there. Are these always foglights, or are long-range spots an option?
