Not sure when it started as we don't use our high beams very often. Just noticed that I don't have a high beam on the passenger side head lamp. Installed a new bulb....still no high beam. Checked all the fuses.....all good. Switched out old light fuse with new....still nothing. Found the interior fuse panel in on the drivers side dash board. Everything looks fine there. Haven't checked the relays yet. Not sure which one controls the head lights, or how is the best way to check that.

Followed all the wiring harness for rodent damage. I live in the San Bernardino mountains and have had squirrel/mouse damage to our other vehicle...OUCH! But can't find anything so far on the Liberty. The three wires that go into the light bulb socket appear clean and undamaged. Haven't tried a multi-meter on the socket, which I probably should do next - what a pain.

Can a relay fail on one side only? How to check that? Wonder if it could be something in the lever on the steering column and how to check that?

So far I've:

- installed a brand new light bulb
- checked and cleaned bulb socket contact points
- checked wiring harness
- checked fuses in engine compartment
- checked fuses in passenger compartment

Suggestions? IDEAS? Hints? Lies? WTFO?!?!

Did you check to see if there was power at the high beam fuse in the fuse box? Both high beams share the same relay so the relay should be ok. If you have power at the fuse and not at the bulb socket then you know you have a wiring issue. No power at the fuse would indicate a fuse box issue. The ground at the bulb should be ok if the low beam works.
