I have a 2006 Crd. The rear break backing plates are rotten. Will the backing plate from a KK work in place. Does something have to be changed?l

Not sure, KJ backing plates are available but they are stupidly expensive for what they are.

Ya!! That is the reason I'm looking to the KK. I'm sure they bolt on but there may be a lot of change to make them work. Could be worth it.

I have a spare plate in my workshop if you need any measurements. I was toying with the idea of making replacements for mine out of 2 steel disks welded together with beads of weld for the shoe contact points, then I bought an axle with two good ones...

Looking online the KK plate is very different, I imagine you would have to transplant the whole rear brake system. The pictures below are KK backplates from Ebay.

I wanted to get a couple of steel dies made for stamping out my own brake dust shields out of 1/8" 403 stainless steel, but those steel dies would have cost about $15,000.00 to develop. My pockets are not that deep.

My recommendation is to purchase a Dorman OE Solutions Split Pair of brake dust shields. The dust shields are split to make installation easier.
