I have faith! You have no alternative, so dive in!!!

Why did #Honduras sell it? Unsatisfied??

Sent from my LG-K210 using Tapatalk

I sold it because the V8 swap was supposed to compliment the SFA swap that I never received

Rock Lizard took tens of thousands of dollars of my money and ran off with it without delivering a single thing. His excuse was that he needed to pay for legal fees for a child custody case (which, according to Springfield public records, only came out to ~$3K) I sued him and won, but the guy is already so indebted that I'll never see a dime of it.

Live and learn, I suppose. The V8 Liberty is still running without any problems, albeit under a new owner.

In wondering... Even with the JBA steel front diff, would the 3.7L be enough to turn deeper gears like 4.88 and 5.13 etc? Would that Durango engine be better?

LOL yes its enough
check out Troys ( tjkj2002 ) build sometime
stock 3.7/ SFA'd/ 35s / 5.13s etc

With the right gearing a small motor can pull more than a large with the wrong gearing
Just like people running 32s and stock 3.73s and complaining no power and poor mileage

The JBA diff will support 4.88, but not 5.13.

That makes me wonder.. Is there a better rear axle that could bolt up in the rear to compensate for the steel diff+ bigger gears?

How much $$$ do you have?

I'm running a Ford HP44 up front and a Currie RockJock60 in the rear.

The issue is no rear diff is a direct bolt up besides the what is in there already and if you want to go above 4.56 gears(I would not recommend 4.88's in a 8.25,requires grinding some ring gear teeth) you will need to modify and then you will need to change the t-case for one that has a speedo port since the speedo is run off the rear diff via a AC signal generator(tone ring and sensor),then adpat a AC signal generator on the speedo port in the new t-case.

Oh! I hadn't expected to need a new t case, depending on what the replacement t case and potential axles would come off of I might be able to budget something like this, # since I can probably sell my current axles for a good price lmao

Oops. Re read your setup

So; what determines what axle and tcase I can use??

Also, with gears like say 4.88 what's an expected top speed decrease? How about 5.13?? Can I even take mine on the hiway if I did this lol

The TJ Rubicon RockTrac t-case and a Atlas t-case are about your only choice that is an actual upgrade with no mods needed besides driveshafts.I have a Atlas 4.3 in my KJ.

If your sticking to IFS you will not need lower then 4.56's since 32"(extreme 33") tires can can only be fitted anyways, you'd have to jump up to 34"-35" tires before needing 4.88/5.13 gears which will require a SFA swap, which would make a V8 swap much easier.

So, to go lower than 4.56s you need a sfa?? Meaning the jba steel diff is only good to 4.56s?
