It will wreck the cats if it's burning oil, how long it will take is unknown. Have you checked to see if the oil is leaking underneath anywhere? You may be lucky (ish!) And have a small leak somewhere, but the bad smell isn't encouraging.
No definitely no leaks... Swapped to 5W40 today since it's still scorching hot in Greece right now and see how it goes.

On the bright side we managed to trace down the drivetrain vibration(s). Apparently there were 2 sources. The front skidplate was bound on the front diff essentially projecting all engine vibrations to the unibody and making everything more pronounced and the second source is a badly aligned flexplate due to the shady shop who did the engine swap.

Going to get a new aluminum skid for the front from Axion parts which is a Greek company I discovered on this forum, and fix the flexplate alignment as soon as possible.
