I have a 2005 Cherokee/Liberty in USA.
There is a warning tone of 2 sets of 3 beeps and the evic says hood open.
I cannot locate a fault with hood is there a way to disconnect the speaker or whatever it is that makes this tone

If it's a case of the warning going off when driving, I had this at anything above 35 - there was enough air moving to very slightly lift the bonnet against the catch - it's just a slight malfunction with the hood sensor. I don't think you can disconnect the speaker (not a good idea anyway - a lot of important warnings come through that speaker). Locate the sensor, and if possible just adjust it upwards. If the alarm is going off when you are stationary - either the sensor is way too low, or its malfunctioned - adjust if it's the first, replace if its the second.
