I used heater hose since I couldn't find the new tubes anywhere.

That'll soon be a gummy, slimy, gobs of $hit mess! Rubber compound in heater hose isn't in any way compatible with petro products!!

Thanks for the heads up. I just needed anything I could get my hands on during a check engine light battle. I'll be sure to change that out in the future.

Should have been a bit more tactful, but things were getting a bit FUBAR here at the shop.

I'd just decided to reply when one of the guys came in and told me the motor had just gone out on a 2 yr old 8K tire changer. Mad rush to the closest town with electrical parts to get a capacitor. No fix, now a 3 (working) day wait for the control switch.
