Edit: Ive never gotten better than 18mpg in the Hemi.. Thats being as easy as I can be on the throttle too, which is crazy hard in that thing. You will be doing 80mph before you know it..

My aunt STILL can't control her 300C after almost 40k with it. I drove it once, and I also had no clue I was doing 80MPH..... in a 40. Can you say suspended license?

I. I ran it down till the guage was pegged on E then ran it 25more miles(evic said 0miles left for along time).

COLD SWEATS.
The most I could put in was 16.8 gallons to the tank after 0 miles to empty after a long drive.. It felt great to be able to floor the pedal again.

First test drive I did in a Go ManGo Daytona Charger back in September 05 I shot that HEMI to 90 in an onramp to I-95 in a very narrow construction area. I was totally oblivious to my speed - thought I was going 30ish :) Absolutely scared the salesman to death because I had not properly adjusted the seat, mirrors and pedals yet - not for that kind of speed.

I loooooove my HEMI. Once I put a set of Zoomers on it, it really brought out the roar that those nasty stock resonators muffle out. Once you get a QUALITY new exhaust on those 5.7L's, it's a whole new animal. Only Zoomers for Jeeps right now is the SRT8 GC, though.

Marlon: *cough* also available for the 300C ;) Same engine, same headers, same x-pipe, same hangers. They're the exact same cat-backs. Best $1500 you can spend...on a HEMI. Second best $1500 is Long tube headers...my next mod.

I can't stand dealers that come along with you for the test drive. I also can't stand ones that tell you where to go.

I remember when I test drove that Nitro.... he told me where to go. As soon as he gave me the keys, I said ""Screw" him." and went whereever I wanted to.

Off topic comment: I want the seats from the Nitro BAD.

I can't stand the ones that treat you like an effin idiot and say, this is where the window switch is, this is how you turn the volume up. Then call you nonstop for 2 months even though you gave him a fake phone number on the test drive and he used your driver's license photocopy to stalk you, and was told 40 times prior to stop calling. I still got the car he was trying to sell me, I just went to another dealer and told them which lot it was sitting on to spite that &*@$#% who was so pushy. Pressure me, and I walk, and I still get your car. Just meant some other salesman who didn't have to do any work for it got the easy commission.

EXACT same way I bought my Jeep. Looked them all up online based on what I wanted, went to the dealership that had the one I wanted most, and walked off the lot to another dealership when they got pushy or tried to put dealer markup on it. Got it for several thousand less elsewhere from a dealer that was good to me, and also slashed the price down to next to zero profit. They got a little bit of holdback and whatever incentives they incurred for being able to sell a little more volume during the end of model year push.

In town driving we tend to get 17/18mpg (we being the wife and myself). On long trips we usually get at least 21mpg....depending ont he terrain and elevation. In low areas with relatively flat terrain we have pulled of 23 and 24mpg. But never less than 21mpg on the highway. That is with us just using cruise control...and usually going around 80-85.

In comparison to the 27-30mpg i get highway in the vette though it seems pretty horrible :p

The lowest highway MPG I ever got in my '04 was 20.1MPG. However later on that trip I got that 24MPG number and I didn't see that again until I got rid of it.

We just got back this past weekend from Utah and Colorado. Our best mileage was on the way back to the Buckeye State, cruising along I-70, getting about 21 mpg. Our worst mileage (other than when we were tooling around Moab) was on the way west through Iowa and Nebraska, fighting a stiff headwind on I-80. Mileage for that part dropped to around 15 mpg.

All in all, we were very happy with our Liberty's performance. We gave it a grand opportunity to express its Jeepiness, and I swear it has a smug look on its grill when it parks next to its spotlessly clean brethren.

I've had my '02 for 2 weeks now, and I'm seeing about 17.5 to 18 mpg suburban driving (0-45).
May not seem that good to you, but beats the crap out of the 13.5 to 14 mpg
same type driving I was getting from my 95 Grand Cherokee. It was full time 4x4 with a 5.2 V8.

I do miss the instant zip off the line though.
Thing I'll remember most is it would finally come out of passing gear on the hyway at 93 MPH.
