I've actually had belts break within a tire before and it shook like hell. But would that make the tire difficult or impossible to balance?

All this advice is sound but if you're still unable to find the problem then take it to a mechanic you trust or a Chrysler dealership for a thorough examination complete with a road test. It would be worth the extra dollars to solve the problem. Imagine for a moment if the vibration leads to a complete failure at 65 mph

Could be a belt in the tire, but they are brand new Michelin Cross Country Tires. I have an appointment to take it in Monday at 7:00 A.M. to the Toyota dealer I bought it from. I will post what they tell me they found. Thanks for all the help and advice

The Toyota dealership is kinda jerking me around, pretty sure the problem is U-Joints now. I can't find any at Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. Where can I get them from aftermarket. Don't want to pay Jeep dealer prices for parts. Thanks

Engine Mounts

Hi,

1) If it was an engine mount, it would shutter and "clunk" while vehicle is in nuetral/parked and you rev the engine.

2) Have you checked your lug nuts ?

3) Check ****** fluid. How does it look and smell ? ( does it have any burnt odor ?)

4) Bring your vehicle through the low gears in 4x4 mode. Does it still make the same noises ?

5) Have your dealer run the VIN through their in house computer and see what services it has had in the past.

Goood Luck, all I can think of for now

Check Ebay

Try Ebay for new U Joints. Stay away from those shops that sell Chinese aftermarket parts if you value your time, and money. In most cases these parts are made with inferior metalergy and tollerances tend to vary beyond specifications......

I'm taking it to the dealer Wed. warranty will probably expire, mileage wise on the way there. I priced out U-Joints at NAPA. For the rear 20 to 25 dollars each. Front I would have to buy the whole drive shaft. $385.00. I think if the dealer won't help me out, I will be driving it thru the front window into the Toyota Showroom. Check Cleveland area newspapers as you will most likely be reading about me. Thanks

The Toyota dealer I bought it from steped up and took care of the problem. It was the rear U-Joints, they replaced them with one that have a grease fitting on them. All the vibrations and weird sounds are gone. Thanks for everyones help and advice.

Yeah, they did me right. It changed the whole personality of the Jeep. Now time to put all the goodies on it and have fun. Thanks again for all the help and advice. It's good to have a forum like this and people to turn to for help. Thanks

oh
you actually were probably better off going to a yota dealer than a chrysler/jeep dealer.

I am yet to find a good one in the cleveland area, just to buy parts at a reasonable price
