Got over 90k miles on the 2008 Liberty Sport. The manual says to change the PCV at 90k. Where is it located? How easy to change? What tools are needed? Should I do it myself? Thanks.

What year is your KJ?

My pcv valve is located just to the left on the oil filler tube (as you look at it from the front). You can easily do it yourself.

Then my directions may not apply...

EDIT: I just realized that this was indeed posted in the KK section, so :pp: on me for not looking at that.

Its on the back of the driver side valve cover. Sort of difficult to get to and you need a huge Socket that I can't remember what size. The old PVC valves are about 5 bucks and the new ones are $25 or so IIRC.

Thanks for the information... I had to order a new valve, none of the parts stores stocked them. Should be in Wed or Thursday and I'll give changing the PCV a try.

Wow that's a big change from the past! Yet another reason I'll stick with my older model Liberty.

I know this is an old thread, but what size socket did you end up needing? My 2007 has the "new" style. It's bigger than 32mm, but not by much.

Sorry but it's been over two years since I replaced the PCV and I can't remember the size of the socket....
