From what I understand, my dad has a 2002 Jeep Liberty minus an engine, and a 2004 Liberty engine which he just had shipped in. He says the only real problem with installing this engine is the computer. Since only the timing is a little different he believes programming the 02 computer with the 04 software? would do the trick, and shouldn't be much of a problem for a fairly modern computer. We tried talking to a couple dealers but they couldn't offer much help, and didn't let us talk to the technicians directly. Anyone have any advice/thoughts?
