After tooling around working on my 05 Liberty's front end I am amazed that some of you are at 22" + with stock UCA's and are still able to use none modified stock CV's at those angles.
I've got JBA UCA's and I'm at 21" up front and from the looks of it I couldn't go to 22" if I wanted to actually drive it offroad without doing some CV related work.
I'm from a long run of Wranglers so this front end is a bit of a new thing for
me.
If stock is around 18" then at 21" I'm already 3" up right?
If I want to go to 22" (which is where I want to be) that's 4" over stock - isn't that the CV related mod area?
So I'd be into a set of adjust-a-strut's $1500 + CV related work - but am I going to get that extra 1" or just distroy the LIB?
Thanks for any related experience and helpful answers.

This is where I'm am with truck on the ground and new JBA's sitting at 21" (alignment is right on spec):

Stock is 19 or 19.5. 23 is borderline CV issues, 24 is issues.

I have been running in the 22.50 / 23 inch range for over 110,000 miles, over 70,000 with stock UCA's until I went to the JBA 4.5's when they very first came out. My alignment is perfect as well.
I have replaced one CV on the right side but it was the normal wear issue from the Intermediate shaft, so don't even consider that a problem.
I have had mine 23.75-24 inches and the CVs made some noise, so dropped it back down.
This by the way has been on two different lifts, first one about 100,000 miles second one about 10,000 now. Its been running at 23.25 the whole time since the new lift, no problems at all and yes its been off road a time or two;)
Not the best picture, took it for another reason but shows the angle of the CV on the right side

are you sure you're measuring right? We measure from the very center of the hub to the very outer edge (point) of the fender flare.

It gets wheeled a lot but also power washed right after every trip.
Every other weekend it gets driven on muddy back roads getting to my parents, its washed before I get ten miles down the road!:D
I hate to drive around with mud every where. Much easier to see any problems when its clean and painted, rear is the same way

Tomm, looks like your clevis to LCA bushings have had enough. You might gain another bit of lift by replacing them and "moving" the clevis up in relation to the LCA. I did mine a few weeks ago. Lots of fun without a press. I torched 'em!!

oh god.. I had a shop replace mine and it took him about an hour for each side and he was using an impact hammer with a chisle tip on the end of it.. he tried the regular blunt hammer fitting but all it did was flatten the bushings out, so he cut the bastars out lol..

I was up at 23.5 inches at both front wheels and at 22.5 inches at both rear wheels!
But now that the OME springs have settled/sagged or bagged, or whatever you would like to call it, out Jeep is at 22.5 front and 21.25 rear!
I didn't think the Old Man Emu coil springs would settle that much for me in just ten months.
I'll run these OME HD coils until they are shot, then order a set of CRD units!
Either way I'll have to add an additional rear spacer to level the KJ out because installing new rear HD OME coils will also bag in ten months!

Thanks for the reply's. I guess I have to get use to those angles up front.
Since many of you are at over 22" I should be fine at 22" with the JBA UCA's and the Adjust-a-Struts.
