On a trip in a new to us jeep and engine fan is not coming on. Fuse is ok Went to change relay but part store version doesn't match what I pulled
One on it all the pins go in the same direction The parts house one has one pin going in a different direction

Is there more than one relay

my sense is that the TIPM (black box) has multiple relays all identical - in a pinch borrow one from a less important circuit. They are NOT directional (truly). I went thru something similar last year.

It's also possible the fan is bad? Have you tried direct power to it? Happened to me before on a trip as well.

You can also add a mechanical fan to the kk very easily. I believe they came on the version with the tow package. I added one to my sport since I sometimes run trails in the desert in summer. It’s an easy upgrade that adds redundancy even if you fix the electric fan.
