Yeah, there's a lot of mountains and "deep woods" up here. The "Adirondack Park" in the mountains which is bigger than Yosemite and Yellowstone and all the other National Parks combined. There's a lot of dairy farms and apple orchards that stretch for miles. NY State is pretty diverse. And then there is NY City down South where you can get anything 24/7. NY is pretty diverse.

Dave

kool Dave,
this is up by you?

It is the road up Prospect mountain....through the culvert pipe and up to the top. I just didn't go to the top as I was alone and it was getting late. I had no spotter for the upper section.

A good recovery strap with loops and a Warn shackle and bar that stays with my stuff in the back.

That's a cool way to store the strap, with a bungie cord, I'll have to try that....

I leave the receiver hook in the hitch 24/7...

I have so much crap in the back of my jeep I was trying to condense it and used the bunge cord on the strap. It is also not my only strap.

I don't leave anything in the receiver as it is covered with a cap to keep crap out of it. So when I go off-road I just install the bar and shackle with the tow strap attached and make sure everything is secure, and throw the strap in the back and close the rear window. It stays put fine that way and if I need to use it then it is already hooked up. When I get back to pavement, I take the shackle and strap off and put it all in back with my other crap. That's a 4 1/2 ton WLL Warn shackle and bar and I don't want it to walk off or something.

Hey Dave, the photo links still don't work. So.... I thought I'd post some traffic photos of my own.

That's why I mounted the ARB and carry a BBQ in the back. Not only do we have big a$$ deer, moose and bears here, the cattle are "at large" as well.
