Disconnect front sway bar links off road?

I never do. My front CV axle boots rub on the clevis at extreme full droop, so I don’t want them to get damaged. Yes technically I might lift a wheel off the ground with the sway bar attached, but the Jeep’s BLD (brake lock differential using the ABS) would stop the spinning wheel and divert traction to the other side. Is BLD on the 07’s? I know they share a lot with my 08 under the skin.

heck, half the time ABS on the 07s can’t make up its mind…about to hack that system dead…
LOL. Removing one particular fuse should do the trick. Check this out— this guy made a DIY switch to turn the ABS/ESP/BLD on and off at will:

Only issue is if you get into a bad accident , and they find out you disabled the system which may or may not of helped , could very well be sued big time
I did install JKS quick disconnects for a JK, but the pins that stay on the vehicle interfere with the steering knuckle at full lock. So I reverted back to the stock sway links.
I remove the stock links when going off road on tougher trails. It only takes 5-10 min to do on flat ground before and after. It is always re-attached before highway use.

Given that JK Sway disconnects fit, I would be curious if these (link below) could be used on a Liberty. I would imagine you would have to cut out some of the inner fender to provide clearance to the upper portion of the disconnect.

It would be super convenient to just give it a half turn to lock and unlock the sway bar, but they are quite pricey.

nope. for a while i went swaybar free and did not care for it at all. a bit more articulation- yes. a lot more damage- YES!!

Hi! What do you mean with more damage? What happened?
Never have. I've wondered about running a rubicon sway bar from a JK or JL on the KJ though, but probably isn't worth the effort and/or risk of damaging something. I worry about over extending and breaking a brake line or a CV.
