No such thing as a 98 WJ. If its a 98, then its a ZJ.

ZJ: 93-98
WJ: 99-04

10W30 for the I6

sorry about that, i always get the body codes mixed up...

also, i was asking about the trans and diff fluids, but thanks for informing me about the oil specs!

trans depending on which tranmission, 45RFE is 5qt of ATF+4 and has 2 filters the 42RFE has 1 filter and is over 4 qts, your diffs should be 75-140 and the rear will take just over 2 bottles and the front should take 1.5 bottles

Some of the 2003's had 45RFE's. Mine does. Separate control module on passenger's side inner fender.

Early 42RLE's also have that setup... don't get fooled and crawl under your KJ and look for the truth :D If you see a sticker with a "RFE" you got the 45RFE... another way is counting the pan bolts... 13 bolts for the 42RLE, 14 for the 45RFE (please correct me if I'm wrong)
