I have a 04 Jeep liberty 3.7 170k. I changed the oil with 4 quarts 10w-30 and a quart of Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer. I instantly ruined a valve lifter and got a top end ping. Took the valve cover off replaced valve lifter, problem Solved. but now I have a low engine knock at idle and when I get in the higher rpms it's a rattling tin like noise. When I'm stopped and my rpms drop to around 600 rpms. My oil light comes on. As soon as I give it throttle it goes away. It only comes on when Im at a low idle. Any possible solutions?

Well you used Lucas sludge maker instead of actual oil so...

But on a more serious note. I have no idea what you could do to remedy that problem good luck.

wrong weight oil
Lucas Heavy Duty Stabilizer
have you thought of changing the oil and see what it does with the right oil and nothing else added?
Of course I don't believe in all of that extra junk adding to the oil

I've changed my oil twice since then. And if I have an actual real mechanical problem when this engine goes I'm in the process of rebuilding a 4.7 that I wanted to drop in it. just not as soon as I thought I would have to

I hope it's not too soon. I wanna replace the oil pump and water pump in the 4.7 before I put it in. And I work at subway and money is hard to come by lol. Plus I only get about 25 hrs because of college
