Engine Swap Will 2003 Engine fit 2002

I have a 2002 Jeep liberty with a 3.7 which is blown. Will a 2003 engine fit the 2002 directly? I believe the 220 and 2003 have the same reluctor wheel (16 tooth). How can I make a 2003 work in a 2002

Yep, the '02 and '03 engines are interchangeable. Beginning with the '04s the computer was changed so the '04s and later won't work in an '02 or '03 without changing the cam sprocket and reluctor ring.
