Hello All,
I have an 05 Renegade with a factory installed light bar. Last week it suddently stopped working. While in use I switched off momentairily, and then switched back on. No lights. The dash indicator light comes on, and I can hear the switch cycling. Confirmed fuse and all bulbs. My biggest challenge is I can't find the relay. It's not in the box under the hood (as far as I can tell). Does anyone have any ideas? Or a factory wire diagram?
Thank you in advance,

Pretty sure the relay is IN the switch. Its $$ too. Pop the little piece of trim out that the switch is in and grab a volt meter.

Thanks,
I procured a wiring diagram over the weekend, you are correct, the switch is a combination unit: Swith and Relay. LAME. Manufacturers cost savings that relate to decreased reliability and increased cost of repair. I'll be popping it out to confirm power to the circut soon. Thanks for the response.

In case anyone ever searches this, and just to conclude the thread. It did end up the combination relay/switch. I took the "switch" appart, to see if there was any failure that could be repaired. First off, the "switch" has a circut board. That's lame, talk about over complicating an otherwise simple system. It's a LIGHT SWITCH!!! The switch only varries the resistance in the circut, it does not actually carry any voltage. I know this, because my first inclination was to replace the integral relay on the board. It's slightly larger than a pencil eraser (again, LAME). It is not simple to just "add" a relay without any actual switched voltage. I use my light bar a LOT, most likely it died due to the heat. A larger relay would most likely permanently solve the problem. I presume resistance regulation is done so the body computer can read the circut without generating heat from significant voltage. The good news was a new combination switch/relay was purchased for only $30, and easy to replace. I suspect I'll be replacing that one again in a few years, but for right now, quick and easy fits my schedule well.
There's my rant. Hope it helps someone else one day.
