Factory "Premium Sound" Speakers

One of my factory premium sound speakers is blown. I have tweeters in the dash.
Can I simply replace the 6/12" woofers in the doors, or do I need to replace the tweeters too, with say a component speaker?

From what I had been asking around:
Tweeters are powered by amps on the door woofers. If you replace the door woofers you need a way to power the tweeters. If you go components, while you are at it, replace the whole thing. I
