Glad to hear it all worked out. In case it happens again to anyone, I probably would not even run it once discovering the mistake. I would think it could cost less in the long run to get a tow truck to take it to the dealer and avoid cycling the bad gas throughout the system.

Yea just putting some in would be a scary thought!! Welsh good to hear it turned out good for you though. I am certain you will never make that mistake again.

Usually diesel will have a green cover on the nozzle, except at BP's (British Petroleum) where everything has a green cover.

My parents had a diesel car for a long, long time and I had it drilled into me as a kid that DIESEL IS IN THE GREEN PUMPS! We didn't have a BP in town.

So, when I got a gasoline car in college, I visited my first BP station and got mad at them "WHY IS EVERYTHING DIESEL HERE?!?!?!"
I had a friend with me, and he's never let me forget it.

I still get nervous sometimes if I'm filling up at a BP, and double check to make sure everything is right.

Diesel pumps at our BP have yellow handles for Diesel. I usually block the diesel pump when Im getting gas just to PO the truckers. :D
