Frankenlift premium 2 and jba UCA's

So I installed

Frankenlift II Premium Kit for GAS KJ:
Comes with pre-assembled front struts assemblies. Uses OME H/D 90009 Sport Series Front Struts, OME927 H/D front Springs, Proprietary Poly parts, Strut Top Plates, All hardware needed; Rear OME948 H/D springs, OME132L Rear Long Travel Shocks (SEE NOTE ABOVE) and pair of rear extended bump stops.


With the jba control arms

And got a alignment

happy with kit but i still get hung up on my rear diff any your on how to get it up higher
The tires are 235 70 r16

Only way to get the diff up is bigger tires. Those are stock sizes most with lifts run 245/75/16, with 4.25" lift and a regear you can go to 265/75/16

Do you mean the front sits higher than the rear?
If so you can add one or two upper isolators to level it out. One of the downsides to the Franky is the height you get and how long it takes to actually break it in good

He was wondering how to get the rear diff up so he doesn't keep getting hung up on it. Suspension lift won't increase diff clearance only bigger tires will

So they are right, You are a smartass! I'm not sure how you could read it any other way?

Also rear diff skid would help, but after a quick search I did not see any for the KJ, so if you are a serious off roader, fab one up , it will slide over rocks a bit better, and off course bigger tires.

Those are basically a 32" tire as well - they'll probably fit but you'lo be hating them quickly if you don't regear first.

at the most
245-75-16
255-70-16
265-70-16
largest you want to go with the lift you have plus if you don't want to regear
255-70s are just a tad smaller than the 245-75 or 265-70 which are close height wise .

I've heard of people shortening the shock mounts on the diff for more clearance.... they hang down rather low.

Hanging right next to the LCAs if you are having issues with them, then you have other issues as well
Haven't heard of anyone doing that for 7-8 years

Good thing I brought up this forgotten piece of tech then :icon_idea: If you make them flush with the LCA, you gain 2.5" right there.

Another clearance possibility.... the counterweight on the diff pinion? Looks easy enough to take off for at least a trial run.

I've never liked how that size fits on a 7" wide wheel. 245 or 265 width is a much better fit.

Is your KJ a manual trans? If so, you won't harm anything with your current axle ratio. Currently running 245/75R16 w/ 3.55 gears and prefer it that way.

You going to 265-75-16 with 3.55 get ready to not run either 5th or 6th cause it will only be good for down hill runs

Deballed mine and took her for a 120 mile trip right after. No problems.

Anyone have any problems rafter they removed counter weight I been getting hung up on the diff like right at the cover hard to tell any one have pics of moving the shock mounts
