The reason I ask, is that I have to drive to the lumberyard 12 miles away and I just didn't need another surprise. Thanks

I would take the back roads and keep the speed under 40. Maybe 35.

All this stuff turns in regular 2wd mode. I have driven a lot of highway miles in the winter in part-time 4hi. I reckon the front driveshaft is the weak link; they start to squeak under load.

I agree, without the assistance of the rear drive shaft also moving the jeep that little front drivshaft is overworked. Be gentle and drive as little as possible.

As others have stated, keep driving to a minimum if possible.
Most damage for differentials comes for the lack of lubrication. Given that the front diff isn't design to solely propel the vehicle, do not go on a long highway trip that would overheat the oil and then cause damage.
