Fuel cap VS gas cap

What is the difference between the diesel and gas caps? Vented or pressure or are they both the same? I would think not.

Why are you asking this question? Is there a huge price difference between the two?

Yes big difference in price thinking to double check what I have on my CRD. if is the gasoline version would I experience any problems? fuel cap hasn't been tightened down PO mentioned something about a new cap being purchased. how can I tell the difference.

I can't see why there would be a physical/mechanical difference, if the filler neck in all models have the same size thread. I believe the CRD caps are green, and the gasoline models are yellow; other than the color difference they should be the same. I would check with Chrysler, just to be sure.
