I too run Mobil1 (regular) in mine but I change it around 4,500 miles....Is that bad?

I use the regular Mobil 1 and change it at around 4,500 miles also. I guess both of us are bad then. I did use another brand of syn for one oil change but then went back to Mobil 1.

Mobil 1 since 500 miles, change every 5k. I started driving the KJ on 6/1/07, and I have 15,500 miles on it. So, yeah, 5k works for me ;)

Do they give this stuff away for free in the US?

Change every 3k? jeesh, if I did that I'd go broke on oil alone.

We change every 10K Km / that's 6215 Miles

Its pretty cheap.

$20 for 5 quarts of SYN Valvoline and $6 for the pureone filter. Ive put 1800 miles on my Jeep since Thanksgiving so it doesnt cost me much at all. :)

I'm running with Mobil1 Full Synth. I get 5 Quarts for $23 and a filter for another $4/5. I change mine about every 6 months. I'll drive about 3k - 4k miles in that time period.

When I comes to Full Synth I do the oil change on my own. The Dealership and even local Garages charge like $90-$100 for a Full Synth Oil change. My Father has a Chevy Avalanche and thats how much they charged him one time.

5 quarts for $23 at Wally World? I'm switching to Mobil 1 next change. Amsoil is great but Mobil 1 is just as great, & a whole lot cheaper.

I was at Wally World tonight, & saw Mobil1 oil filters for $10. Does anyone know about these? who is the actual manufacturer? I assume that if Mobil put their name & reputation on them they are probably outstanding, but if anyone knows something different...

Yeah, I detest Wally World, but I make once exception and buy my Mobil1 there. I've gotten it for at low as $19 for 5 quarts before.

I opted for the 5k interval so it's easier to keep track between mine and my wife's cars. Also easier for me to rotate tires. I'll be over-enthusiastic and do it at every 5k. I am historically really bad about rotating tires.

Only thing about me going to 5k, Ill hardly be changing my oil once a year.

I found Valvoline SYN on sale at autozone for buy one get one free. Bought up around 8quartsx2 which gave my 16 quarts. I think it was around $25 or so.
