Help??! Pigtail wiring- odometer

Anyone know where and what this guy is?
Found dangling above rear axle.
Yello and light Grey wire..

If your odometer is not working right now then it is the pigtail connector that plugs into the ABS/speed sensor at top of them rear differential.

I think that is it.
That's kind of what I was thinking.
Not sure what could have snapped it off like that.

Standard Motor Products #S824 is the replacement pigtail connector .

Here’s a short write up with pics on how to install it

Not sure what could have snapped it off like that.
That pigtail is a known failure point …There’s a lot of movement on the axle/ suspension particularly when driving off-road and the wires eventually fail from metal fatigue

“New sensor is on its way“

Hard to tell from the picture but even if the sensor connector itself is broken it will be a good idea to replace the wiring connector pigtail at the same time.
