How in God's name do you get the front bumpstops IN?

like the title says.

I've tried a 4x4 wood block between the rotor and bumpstop with a jack to lift it in, likewise with a hammer, a pair of screwdrivers, prybars, etc. no luck. eff this design, chrysler engineers are completely lacking in common sense.

soap them up or use something slippery, start the back up in and then just pop them in
Some use a 2X4 resting on the tire and push them in or other ways
Nothing wrong with the Chrysler Engineers, they're not that hard

Swimming gives endurance. You need to be able to look at the bumpstop and in backs into the spot scared. But no seriously when I did it I grabbed it with both hands and just pushed as hard as I could.

You've tried everything except what works. put the wheel/tire on let it down, get a shovel and pry up using the tire as the pivot point. pop, done. EASY.

it's your opinion that they are junk. it's a fact that they have their own applications just like a liberty does. it's also a fact that the xj line went on for longer than any other unibody jeep with the fewest modifications. They're old. Old things rust. Liberties aren't old enough to have rust issues. but one of them will be the bumpstop cups rusting off, you can bet your butt on that.

Mr. is a prefix used for someone you look up to and respect. that's got to be earned.

Well I owned then back before you got started I'd bet
I know how they rusted out even when you took care of them
The KJ/KKs bumpstops pop in so no rusting issues with them like on the XJs
I'd much rather work on 4 - KJs than one XJ after lots of years of experience on both now.
Plus if you can't joke around and have fun on sites like this
well its going to be boring as all get out !:icon_lol:

true enough. I've only got 30 MJ's, 15 xj's and 2.5 KJ's under my belt now. obviously in the rust belt, I'm no stranger to rust. But I've yet to see an xj bumpstop rust off. Rust stuck on, sure, but not off or out.

Aside from the issue with bumpstops here, I have probably learned more in the last week than most people know or want to know about KJ's, though.
