So Mike, it starts with air coming out the windshield defrost vents then eventually comes out the dash vents? That sounds more like a vacuum problem, can't see the fan control having any effect on that.I think mines on the way out too. All the speeds work, after a little bit of fanagling. Will usually blow out of the windshield defrost until I switch to 4 then back to what ever speed. Sign it's going out? thanks

I'd pay $50 to have a dealer do this if I knew in advance. They need to hire a ghost with tools that can go through solid plastic and wire to get in there.
I was at the dealer for my radiator,

So, now I find out the part costs less than $20 and all we gotta do is squeeze into the glovebox and get the resistor replaced...
Anyway, I am surprised that I havent seen this topic before. Can I order this part online somewhere?
Preface: 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ - 1 and 2 speeds don't work.
I got the red tab out, but I can't get the molex plug to come out. Several questions...
1. What is that red tab anyway?
2. I've tried pushing, bending, pulling, yanking, etc. on the molex plug and cannot get it out. I'm pushing on the black tab (which was highlighted by the yellow arrow earlier in a picture) and it still won't budge. Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
