I did drive an '10 Suburban in CO, it felt good, but nowhere near as stable, or as tough as a Jeep or Land Rover. There's a difference between good and great.

Well with Cummins being Dodge and Dodge doesnt have a great trans. behind that Cummins' so if you aint going to be stacking the world behind it you will be fine. If you are going to pull the world i would go with Duramax. Or take that Dodge with the Cummins' to Fl. there are a group of guys that are putting the Allison transmission behind the Cummins' for around 12k!

Depending on the price...
I'd would be a fun project truck!
I gotta move away from these damn Mini's!
That engine sure would be fun under the hood of the KJ!
And befor people say, "That won't fit"
I've seen too mant VW bugs and Mini's with V8 trans plants with 70% less room!

Sorry to hijack Ryan :D

The Allison trans in the Sierra/Silverado is the only real reason I was leaning to GM. That and if you believe the propaganda, :D they pull more weight. Don't really have an allegiance. I've had good vehicles from both GM and DC, but I would be (as Mag quite eloquently put it) towing the world. The 5th wheel my woman has her eye on has a GVWR of 14,154  That means the only 2500HD that will meet that weight rating (according to the specs I have) is the GM (@14,200). I would have to go to a 3500 if I bought the Ram .. no?

The Ram is hands down sexier, but I have to be more pragmatic. It should be my last major vehicle purchase.

Maybe I should just start a thread to poll my buddies ... sry again Socks :D

That Durango has not been listed yet...
No info on mileage or price for that matter...
I do really like those though!
That particular one is really bagged out!
The seats are beyond shot, I have no idea how many miles are on the clock....
It was just listed, most likely totally bagged out!
And man did it ever smell like armpit juice inside the cab!

No amount of disinfectant will get rid of that!

Ya, Jen and I are looking for a diesel Dodge 4X4 crew cab
I would really like a Dakota, but no Diesel. Shame really...
That would be a good set up.

We want a diesel 4x4 "Exended cab/crew cab" pich uo so we can have a more functional vehicle for taleing crap to the dump, getting a load of soil, of sticking a camper on the back or pulling a larger travel trailer.
