Yeah I know...it's been covered. I searched and couldn't find any actual experience nor a verifiable answer...

I had my LBJ's done in June (recall job, no charge). The boots are cut and leaking grease now (seven months later (blarg) ).

I have a lift and 31's now that I didn't have when I originally had the recall done. Are they gonna break my balls or do the repair for free like they are supposed to? Anybody know?

i think that depends on your relationship with the dealer. I know my dealer would be cool with it ( bought 3 cars from the same guy so far) but from what ive heard of other dealers it might not go so well.

They might have an issue. It is a possibility that the boots were damaged when the lift was installed. This is the kind of loop hole that warrantee backers look for. If the boot was pinched or sliced when the knuckle was removed to install the lift, that isn't a faulty product issue, & won't be covered. It also won't fall under the recall either, they already replaced the bad ball joints.

You can try & ask, the worst that can happen is they say no. Just don't be too dissapointed!
