Left windshield pillar socket - what’s it for?

Hey all,

While deattaching side pillars to pull a DAB antenna underneath in my 2005 KJ, I’ve noticed an unused socket. Does anyone know what’s its purpose?

No, but now I understand that OTIS is plugged to that socket, right?

If you mean the pillar bolts, then they’re 7/32” (or 5.5 mm). It took me a while to find the proper tool for them.

For my 2006, I needed a long 5.5 mm socket and 1/4 drive tool set.

Thanks for the socket size note in the thread. Exactly what I was looking for. The 7/32 was the right size to remove the A/pillar handles on my ‘06 KJ.
