One of my friends just took a VW R32 bumper and cut pieces from a VW 20th GTI bumper and molded them together to make one bumper. That was $1500 worth of bumper he was playing with and he has little auto body experience. Just patience and he pulled it off perfectly.

It is possible. Some plastic, a heat gun, fuzor and some paint and someone with a little bit of skill could pull it off. Find a wrecked KJ Jeep and pull the bumper. Cut a piece from the bumper that is right beside the tire indention and you should have the perfect shape of plastic to cut and fuze into the hole. Put some mesh behind the cut piece and the original bumper for strength and you are good to mold and paint.

If your are stupid enough to back-up at 5 miles per hour and hit a concrete filled steel pole without noticing it, then chances are you are brain dead enough to also likely to hit a small child or wheelchair bound person behind your vehicle because you didn't see them!

what are you doing backing up at 5 miles per hour in the first place? Where there are obstacles in the way to hit? And a wall... You can't see a frigging wall?
You smoke a pole or wall, not only deserve to damage your vehicle, you should have your drivers license canceled permanently.
Not to mention what others here have said about towing a trailer, rear mounted tire, etc.

Just learn how to drive in the first place.
If you can't see it, get out of the damn car and look around.
