I just purchased an '05 jeep liberty limited 4x4 last weekend. She has 67k miles on her an is in great shape and all stock. I'm already planning on bigger tires for the 17 inch wheels and a Weston bull bar. Oh and she's white with chrome grill and wheels. I'm looking for ideas to make her look more manly/aggressive. Any help is greatly appreciated.

#1) DO NOT get 1 of those cheep brush guards
they cost you your tow hooks and simply not
worth it
#2) get a good quality lift and good quality M/T's
Skip the A/T's other wise it looks like you want to
have a Jeep for Jeep purposes but are really not up
to it

We had an '03 LTD
OME med. springs at all 4 corners
OME rear shocks and Rancho front
245/75 MTR's on OE wheels
All skids +home made trans
Roof rack
Looked good and worked reall good

Ok so OME as well as some m/t's are definitely on the to do list. What can I do to the front end to give it that "beefy" look with spending 1k on an ARB? Oh I know y'all are gonna say use the search function, but what size M/T's with the factory 17" wheels and the OME lift? Should I go with a roof rack with lights or the mopar light bar? I do need to be able to haul around a mountain bike and possibly a kayak. Thanks for all the pics, keep them coming! This is one of the friendliest forums I have been on! Well, so far at least.

245/70/17 would go good, that's what I have.

Here's mine...OME springs, Bilstein shocks, JBA UCA's and clevis lift in front.

Ok, what size an type tires would y'all recommend with the OME lift, 17" wheels, and without re-gearing? Oh and any roof rack ideas that are somewhat affordable? Thanks for all the help.

Ok so I'm going with 245/65/17's for now until I get the OME lift. I'm also either going with the curt or the sport rack. The only other things I need help with is an affordable bumper/ brush guard, and what type of LED light bar for the roof rack. Y'all have been more than helpful! Oh and someone mentioned something about tow hooks?

Do you have tow hooks now? If not, you can usually find them online, or just order a set. If you put one of those cheap pushbar/grill guards on..they use the OEM mounting for the towhooks, and you'll have to remove your fully functional towhooks for a cheap cosmetic item that offers no real protection or functionality (you can't use the grill guard as a tow point if you need a tow...it will rip right off.)

As far as the whole MT vs AT debate...get what works for you. A lot of MT's aren't as capable on wet pavement or ice as AT's are...so if you think you'll be driving more in those conditions than off-road, I'd stick with a nice aggressive AT tire.

Also, depending what you intend to use your Jeep for, you may or may not feel the need to regear after going with bigger tires. I have 265/75R16's on my Jeep...and according to a few, I was going to hate the "loss of power" and would shoot myself if I didn't regear to 4.10's. Suffice it to say, I couldn't care less. I notice the difference, but it's not so dramatic that I feel it needs corrected. However, I don't trail ride much. So for those guys who put the Liberty through some inclines and crawling, I could easily see their argument.

So again, keep in mind your intended purpose when making mods.

you need to be more secure in your manliness if you're trying to compensate with your vehicle, or trying to compensate for an appearance of un-manliness when in your vehicle. I could care less what other people think, as long as MY vehicle does what I want of it.

welcome to the forum, for the light bar i have rigid industries lights and they are awesome, i personally like the look of individual lamps for a lightbar so i will be getting a couple more and mounting them to my custom roof rack and lightbar, which if you have the ability to weld you can build and mount a rack made out of EMT for less than 100 bucks, the most affordable bumper available would be the rock lizard rock monitor convertible winch bumper, its a nice looking bumper and pretty well built too.

I'll second the ditch the bull bar idea. Jeep's and bullbars don't mix. Bullbars don't serve any useful function.

Get some new 16" rims and tires, you'll be happier in the long run if you want that aggressive look. Soft 8 rims and tires can be had for a good price. I'd do that, but I like my rims, and if I had any others I'd probably get some black soft 8s.

IMO the best looking tire for a daily driver that you take off-road every once in a while.

Mine is built for function, not form.

and one more thing, ditch the chrome grill. You can get those for a decent price if you look. I'm imagining a white KJ with a black grill, black rims and white letters in.
