Thanks for the picture Dmut, but that is not the one I am looking for. The brush guard I am looking for has the guards that protects the headlights as well as the grille

99% of brush guards out there are mainly for looks anyways. If I wanted something to protect my front end in a wreck I would buy an ARB for it.

this is why ,from my point of view, they are a waste of money
I dont see the point in spending money on things that are for looks only
not just with my Jeep but every thing I buy

Yeah I like my stuff to look nice also
But I can not see spending ~$300+ for
looks on something I may keep for 5 years

Then again some would argue that the money I spend to buy a pair of shoes is ******** but I have shoes that are in good shape after 10 years

there is nothing besides the ARB that adds strength to the front
thus it will bend hit the Jeep and point load out side the bumper
so what would have amounted to a slight scuff on the bumper will end up
damaging things like the hood ,fenders, grill ,lights ,ect.

all the brush guards/push bumpers do is mount below the bumper to the OE
tow hook holes
so in a crash they act as a lever pushing harder into the front end
these things are much like the tube bumpers people love to install on wranglers
then cry when the get destroyed on the first trail ride
funny thing is the stock KJ bumpers held up on the same trail

sure the ones one cop cars or M.A.P. trucks will hold up fine
but do they make them for a KJ? and even so would you really want them

I mean we were just talking about making your stuff look nice :shrug:

They make them for the KJ - there are police edition KJs with them on and you can order the bar separately. I've seen them in NH before (at least for 02-04 not sure about 05-07).

The little Westin ones though are a waste unless it is purely for aesthetics. Are those the ones you mean? I meant the police ones, lol
