Ive been reading about all the options for keeping my factory hu and using a mp3 player with the cd changer input, Is there a cheap cable with a 3.5 jack instead of an i pod jack? I found a $10 cable through crutchfield but it is for an ipod. Im looking for one that has a 3.5 jack. I dont have an ipod, just a regular 4 gig mp3 player. Anyone have a store or part number?

I have used the FM transmitter adapters in the past. THey worked pretty good. it had a 3.5 mm adapter, and also bluetooth. I could stream audio from my Pre via bluetooth to the fm transmitter, and then just tune to the specific station on the radio. Worked pretty goo. No static.

Yea I have a Belken FM transmitter, it sux. I have Sirius and the FM transmitter in that lets me use 87.9 and its great all over New England, but the FM transmitter for my mp3 player only goes as low as 88.1. Every number from 88.1 to 107.9 has a station on it. I hate it. I don't want to spend more than 15 20 bucks. That i pod cable I found in crutchfield looks great. Its only 10 bucks. I just wish it had a 3.5 jack instead of the i pod jack.

Fm transmitter is useless in the city (at least here). Fm modulator is a much better alternative. The modulator actually plugs inline with the antenna and effectively blocks out the over the air signal and sends its own quite clearly. Works perfect for my wife who listens to a lot of audio books and music ranging from very soft to rock.
