I should say that its a bolt on. i can put the stock bumper right back on.
the supports go into the hole in the frame and reach almost back to where the A arms are. we added 3 holes for 5 bolts.

well we never weighed it.. i can tell you i lost 1/2" of lift ( fixed that with a clevis lift) and it isnt possible to put it on alone.. without effort.. was about 3/4 of a full sheet of 1/4" steel. id guess in the song of 200lbs

The bumper looks nice with the exception of the cheesy looking lights. It looks like they had a good design going and then just dropped the ball with the lights. Since they obviously have a plasma cutter, they should have cut a few ovals and put in some flush mount LED lights. Maybe something like these...

i chose the lights.. i wanted them to be idiot easy to replace.

no that was after the winch.. when we have it off to do the real paint this summer ill try to get it on a scale.

perfect10.gifLooks badaxx. Good job on the welds/design. but someone fibbed to you about what a full sheet of steel is. A full sheet of flat stock steel is 20'+(usually 20'1/2' - 21') x8' x plate thickness. Surley you didn't use 3/4 full sheet just over 1200lbs or over 1/2 ton.arty52:

ok not a full sheet.. it was 8' long and 5 or 6 wide. ( not a steel worker) there was a stack of them so i assumed that was the standard size

.284lbs/in3. find approx sq ft used divide by 144 to get in sq , divide by 4 because 1/4 plate, muliply x .284 weight if steel. That's the weight of the steelarty52: Hang on I'm wrong again

5760 divided by 4 because it’s 1/4in 1440in3
Times .284lbs/in3 408.96 lbs for that size

I think that’s the math anyways .284lbs/ft3 is useful, looks great either way. If your not a steel worker someone is on that project.arty52: Just fill it with helium. It's not 400lbs

so..

lets say that 6' of the steel made it into the bumper ( slightly high due to the bits between the cuts)

72" x60 " = 4320
4320/4 = 1080
1080*.284 = 306 lbs

honestly that seems high.. but i dont know for sure

1/4 in is pretty thick was it maybe 3/16's You could then 1/4 that number.
