I recently had a new water pump installed on my '06 Limited. I have no idea how old the serpentine belt is, but it's been on for at least 8 years and 30K miles. I've noticed a squealing at highway speeds and with some rpm's since the install. Allow the belt to "seat" into the water pump pulley and get some of the gloss off, or change belts?
TIA

Depending on how many miles, it might be time to replace belt and the belt tensioner. I got lucky when my belt tensioner bearing went out and was only a block away from an auto parts store

Also, be sure it was installed correctly by the shop. This happened to me once and it would squeal every time I had the AC on. They then tried to tell me my compressor was kaput. Nope. Belt routed wrong.
