Ok...we'll make 2...

Me: Off Road package (for skids) and Satellite Radio. Fine with the basic Limited wheels.

Sirius. My aftermarket add-on has already been stolen once. Other than that....

Sirius is good. I like mine. You could park yours in my driveway. You wouldn't even need to lock it.

THis was a factory option but it wasnt available for US sale..

4.7l V8 + oversized brake package...

this was a package sold to other countries.. it also included incredibly ( probably ome) heavy duty springs.

I was never aware of that. I thought the 4.7 in the KJ was deemed unsafe by Chrysler because during a crash test the engine came into the passenger compartment?

I was speakign to a guy just after i got mine ( hes not a bullshitter) that was part of a contractor group for chrysler in NW indiana.

They would get these liberties with the V8 in them already, and do the testing that this given country would require. aparently they would load them down with weight and drive them on a track to verify it could finish braking and speed/distance tests within a given time...

id assume that the country was arabian of some flavor..

knowing the source. im sticking with this being a true story..

just another example of chrysler having to bow down to overzealous safety concerns here in the US

Be careful what you wish for with the Renne lightbar - you're SOL if you ever crack one of those lights. I had one crack out in MOAB last year, finding a replacement is a bee-atch (and expensive if you do find one.)

As for the one option I wish I had - sunroof!

Short of some sort of documentation, I am calling BS on this. We have members from the Arab world and NONE have so much as mentioned this as a factory option. We have members who work in the only places that Liberties are built and NONE have ever heard of this as a production option. Even if a test mule or two was rigged up (emphasis on if), that is far short of an actual option.

The friend of a friend rumor mill is rarely even close to correct and this also fails the common sense test. Even a piece of trash like Wiki isn't trying to play off a factory V8 Libby sold to the public as a real thing.

I'm glad that he shared what he had heard, and also stated that it wasn't something that he found out firsthand. By telling us that it was a friend of a friend, we can take from it what we want. Not sure why people jump down eachothers throats like that around here sometimes...
