ordering teraflex bumpstops

Does anyone know of a place to order these online w/ American Express? OR how about the rear upper isolators?

I just read a bunch of threads where people said extended front bumpstops arent needed. What is the case?

OME says with their front shocks and springs you do not have to,
BUT
its cheap insurance plus helps so it does not bang down hard

If you're doing any clevis lift or anything of that ilk, you will want the bumpstops.

JeepinByAl does have them, but I believe they are back-ordered a week or two. I should be getting mine from him anytime now.

just recently got mine from Al's, they look solid. I did heat and grease them up a bit to go in place. I’ve also noticed after doing this they're now easily removed and back on again. I hope they'll stay in there .

I have a Rusty's OTT or spacer lift on my Libby. Before I got my Teraflex front extended bumpstops installed I blew my front stock shock struts. I think it's required if you don't have proper "lift" shock struts like Rancho's or OME's.

I too would like to know if I should remove them when I get a proper Frankenlift kit. Does anybody have an idea?

From what I have read in the mass of info on this over the years, OME took this into account and they state that you SHOULD be safe when running just their lift springs. If you have added any other amount of lift, that is beyond the design of the OME springs. Cheap insurance if nothing else.

I'm not trying to hi-jack this thread but exactly what purpose do the extended front bumpstops serve? To prevent the front shock struts from bottoming out and to prevent the tires from hitting the inside of the wheel wells?

Yep I think mostly to prevent the spring from stacking and to prevent the tire from hitting some of the running gear. The Lift FAQ has better info on this:

Their 2 main goals are
#1 save the shock from bottoming out
spacers move the shock down away from the mount making it
so that there is more than the OEM compression or up travel
thus the shock is forced to hold the weight of the KJ not the spring
or bump stop
Things that will do this are
-OTT spacers
-clevis lift

The second thing bump stop spacers do is keep the tires from rubbing

They prevent the springs from stacking which can case major Damage to the spring. Also if I remember correctly someone on LOST contacted OME and the said they did in fact recommend them with the use of there springs. They (OME) also did not confirm the myth that there shocks/struts don't need an extended stop on our KJ's. For me it's Cheap insurance on my 9000xl's
