When I took delivery of mine, I wasn't paying close attention, but I was sure he put the manual in the glovebox.I got home and wanted to read up on all the features, opened the glovebox and no manual. I was starting to think I hallucinated the whole experience until I called him and he told where it was.Very embarassing!

Doh. I have cloth seats but never realized that many of the KJ's did not come with the pouch behind the front passenger seat.
Black leather........geeez....I got green canvas - but it does have a leather jeep logo....

We have a black ribbed vinyl pouch folded in 3 which holds the owners manual,service schedule book,Chrysler road assistance info, and our insurance papers. Oh, and the factory window sticker!
It fits, but just.

LOL yes when looking at mine i noticed the little "book" image too lol. maybe having the manual holder makes the difference.

So just how many "owners manuals" and cases exists for the KJ?
Looks like there's a "bunch"..........and the one Alex has also says "Chrysler - Dodge - Jeep - and Shell" on it?

Because of this thread, after 3 months, I FINALLY found my damn manual. lmao
My KJ has an "oh shit" handle going across the area above the compartment, so it always blocked my view of that little slot.

haha.......tan, I don't think the 02 KJ had/needed one. It didn't appear until the 42rle trannys were used.......weeeeeeeee.......
