Looking to change the rims on my stock Renegade. I've always liked the look of a smaller rim with more tire. I've only seen one Liberty on this site with 15" Cragars and they look great.

Thanks KJ924 your truck is one of my favorites on here!

I would like to get my truck looking close to yours but without a lift, a mini version of yours. This is my daily driver and I drive a lot.

I just bought the truck. Its a 2006 Renegade with 54,000 miles and every option but a sunroof.

I was going to buy a Subaru but I saw one of these on the road one day so I started doing some research. Thats where I found this website.

These little trucks get great reviews. I'm coming off of two Ford Explorers in the last 12 years and I wanted to try something different.

I like the look of those Cragars a lot.

I am thinking of a 15" rim and BF Goodrich All Terains. Not sure how big to go on the tires yet.

Since I'm not lifting, I think the bigger tire would look really good with the 15" rim.

made by Carlisle brand
mine are 15"x8" 4,75" of back space
with 31"x 10.5"R15 tires and a lift kit 2"

Thanks for the pics NCC, that is a great looking tire and truck!

I really like the 15's, It looks more "old school" to me.

I was researching last night about lift kits. I see that some companies have a 1.5" front leveling kit. It would look a little better with the nose up a bit.

Does anyone have any experience with the leveling kits?

I cant figure out by the pictures how they work. Its looks like a bushing in the spring. ?

I am running 32x11.50 BFG All Terrains on 15x7-4" BS Cragar Black D's with a Daystar 2.5" lift. I'll give you a little extra insight from my experience since that is what I planned to do at one time too. So, I researched until I was blue in the face on here and LOST about what would and would not fit on an unlifted KJ. I thought I had it all figured out. I got 15x7" with 4" BS because I wanted a little wider stance (stock wheels are 5.5" BS). I also went with 235/75-15 tires (28.9x9.25 for comparison). I knew I would need to pound the pinch weld, trim the front fender liners a little, and add a clevis lift, but I was fine with that. Got it all installed and it was fine, except when I would flex the rear, even going into a parking lot from the road, my rear tires would bump the fender flares. 4.5" BS wheels might have fixed this issue. Not sure exactly how much they would have needed to move inward to clear the flares. I decided to add the 2.5" Daystar lift. I am very happy with my choice now. Been running this setup for almost 20k miles now and love it.

Thats exactly what I needed to see.

I really like the look of the 2.5" lift, but I'm not going to do it. I think the look of your clevis lift is perfect for me.

I just got back from the tire store. The salesman suggested a Bridgestone Dueler A/T P235/75R 15. I'm not familiar with this tire but it looked really good. I drive a lot of miles so he said he's heard some great results with this tire not being loud and really good on the highway. Realistically I wont be off road very often. I want an aggresive looking highway tire, if at all possible.

What is the clevis lift all about. I tried searching on here a little. It looks like you have to take off the steering wheel. I havent done that since my '67 Camaro back in highschool and that was a long time ago and the wheel never was lined up right after that.

Okay, just to re-cap:

A 15"x7" rim will work, but the offset will be key for tire rubbing.

The correct tire looks like it would be a P235/70 R15 or 75 with a 4.5 offset and a clevis lift.

I dont want to hack into the fenders if I dont have to.

How easy is the clevis lift? What tools would I need? I see that Daystar has a 1.5" front leveling kit. Whats that all about?

And you don't remove the steering wheel. You just slide the clevis down the end of the front shocks about 3/8" and then re-tighten the bolt. Here is another pic of the clevis and shock.

There is a sticky on the clevis lift in the lift section here. Is says to take off the wheel. I couldnt figure out why.

I like the looks of that, nice and easy.

How about the 1.5" level lift that some companies make? Any ideas on that?

Clevis lift would be much easier. To do the leveling lift, it is jsut as much work as doing a spacer lift, or new OME springs. You have to remove the shock/spring assemblies, compress the springs, add a 3/4" below the spring, and then re-assemble. You can do the clevis lift in 30 minutes.
