Plowing with my 2010 KK

Thought I would post some pictures of my plowing setup, works great, strong and able to maneuver in tight places. It is a Sno-Way 22 Series.

Nice, I had a Lobo v plow by Sno-way. Never had the lexan, but like the idea.
Who says a KK can't plow!
And I see you also do it right with the yellow light.

Nice to see the KK at work.
Anytime you put that much weight on the front..you will need a heavier duty front suspension. Not much in the way of fender clearance right now & the stock springs will sag even more.
This should be on your list soon.

You will immediately notice how much better it handles the load & real smooth rides !!

Nice set up. How much does it weigh? I'm guessing it is not an all steel plow.


Personally I would take it off between storms.

Dave it weighs over 275 lbs.. Sno-Way Snowplows and snow removal equipment
Polycarbonate Blade.
I would in the lift kit definitely recommend the use of the heavy duty front CRD springs for this application !

Thanks Cherrie I also have the strobe lights in the blinkers. I back out onto some busy streets at night.
TC I will be adding the lift to my list, but it's not to bad at 275# and yes I take it off after every storm, it sleeps in my garage waiting.
Thanks Dave it is all steel except the mold board, and that is helpful with sticky snow slides right off. It also has Down pressure to make up for the lighter weight, scrapes and back drags better then the big boys.

All in all I have had the plow for 10 years, first on a 2000 Dodge Durango then when I grew up and got the Jeep I moved it over with some upgrades to the mounting and cutting edge.

lots of xj cherokees have them on around here! good idea or not? lots are doing it with winning results.

I have worked on XJs with plows, winning results ??? Thats questionable. Of course depends on driver and how much they plow, but you sure don't see major snow plow operators or highway departments using unibodied vehicles everyday, so there is a reason for that . For a homeowner only doing his 60 foot driveway is one thing. But having had plows in the past I know you never get by with just doing yours, there is always neighbors / friends of friends who also want some plowing done

Since more vehicles are uni body's plow's may have to change. Since this is a free forum we should always allow everyone to share their experiences. Even if they are different form others. If the information is out there share it. That's why I'm here to see and hear what others are doing.
And who's got better ideas, different experiences.
